Language through listening: how Persolingua works
The method combines spoken prompts, pauses for an answer, a structured syllabus, and relevant personal context. The explanation language comes from the selected pair.
Listen — answer — repeat
A lesson lasts about 12 minutes. A phrase in the language you are learning is introduced in parts, followed by a pause in which you answer aloud. Material returns later in the lesson and the course.
Active recall and spaced retrieval train you to produce a phrase instead of only recognizing it.
A few minutes about you
After purchase, you describe your goals, useful situations, interests, and preferred style. AI structures these signals for suitable scenes.
- Name may appear in direct address
- Location can ground selected situations
- Work and interests help choose topics
- Goals indicate which conversations should feel closer to your task
Personal within a fixed syllabus
The learning core, grammar, and topic order stay fixed. Selected scenes and examples use the profile, so the same topic may appear in different contexts for different learners.
Practice between lessons
Audio trains listening and spoken recall. Short practices add precision.
- Vocabulary — retrieve words from lessons
- Grammar — short level-specific tasks
- Pronunciation — record and compare with the lesson phrase
- Listening — understand phrases at a more natural pace
Six levels from A0 to C2
Every language pair has its own verified learning path. The available RU→IT course has six 30-lesson levels; other pairs open only after separate content, audio, and product QA.
No outcome promises the product cannot prove
A level label describes the syllabus, not a guaranteed certificate. Results depend on starting point, consistency, spoken answers, and practice. A written exam requires separate preparation.
